Manus-Bond 78-RC Hybrid Sealant
Manus-Bond 78-RC Xtreme Hybrid Reactive Polymer Based Roof and Wall Coating is a one-component, low-VOC, highly reflective, flexible elastomeric coating engineered to provide excellent adhesion and protective barrier for wide range of architectural surfaces and roofing substrates. 78-RC flows smoothly and easily onto roofing substrates, providing a durable and weather-stable coating. 78-RC “low viscosity-controlled flow” technology offers a fast and efficient application using trowel, brush, roller, or sprayer to create a uniform thickness coating. This product is UV resistant and does not contain isocyanates.

Typical Usage
Manus-Bond 78-RC Xtreme Roof Coating is engineered with low-viscosity, controlled-flow to be used for coatings on horizontal and vertical roofing, walls, and architectural surfaces. It may be used on: single ply, asphalt, spray polyurethane foam, concrete, metal, wood, and other common construction and roofing materials.
Applied Surfaces
Manus-Bond 78-RC Xtreme Roof Coating can be applied to a large range of roofing substrates including Concrete, Metal, Wood, single-ply membranes (TPO, EPDM, PVC, and Hypalon), asphalt, common building materials and to itself. Some of the elastomeric roof membranes may need to be primed for best adhesion. Adhesion testing on elastomeric roofing membranes is recommended before applying.
Surface Preparation
All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from damage, loose contaminants, dirt, dust, oil, grease, mist, frost, and mildew. Power washing the surface to remove contaminants before applying the coating is recommended.
Application Equipment and Coverage
Manus-Bond 78-RC Xtreme Roof Coating can be applied by brushing, rolling, or spraying using brush, trowel, roller, notched squeegee, or sprayer. 78-RC works with most commercially available spray equipment that can deliver a minimum pressure 4,000 psi at spray tip and at least 2.0 gallons per minute to cover 1 to 1.5 square at 15 to 20 mil thickness coating. This coverage rate is approximate and used only as guideline. Exact coverage may be different depending on the surface roughness, coating thickness, and other factors. For the granules finish option, the granules may be applied while the coating is still wet. Typical application rate is approximately 40 pounds per 80 to 100 square feet. Follow the granular supplier coverage recommendation and test compatibility of granular before using.
User Evaluation
Testing for compatibility and adhesion on small area of the surface must be performed by the user. The user shall determine suitability of the product for its intended use. Testing must also be performed to determine the actual coverage rates necessary to achieve desired mil thickness.
Product Handling and Storage
Manus-Bond 78-RC Xtreme Roof Coating cures by reacting with air moisture; the skin and cure time is dependent on the humidity and temperature of the surrounding. The product must be stored in tightly sealed containers in dry area out of direct sunlight and high heat. Open containers only when ready for use. Once the container is open and exposed to the atmosphere, a skin will start to form at the surface over time. If this occurs, remove the skin from the surface before using the material.
Packaging and Colors
Manus-Bond 78-RC Xtreme Roof Coating is available in 1-gallon (10.8 lbs.), 5-gallon plastic pail (54 lbs.) and 55-gallon steel drum (540 lbs.) containers. The standard color is white. RC also can be available in grey, tan, and other colors upon request.
Precautions
Use with adequate ventilation. Inhalation of vapor during application and cure may cause eye or throat irritation. In case of contact with eyes, lips, or mouth, flush thoroughly with water. If irritation persists, consult a physician. Avoid repeated, prolonged contact with skin. See SDS for additional information. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
